dream

a lot of time on my hands suddenly, so stumbled upon brides.com.

if i could plan my wedding again and cost is not a concern, i'd do these:

1. I'd still have a garden wedding but overlooking a huge lake / the sea. So, we'll get both greens and blues. Can be in Lake Wanaka or Lake Taupo or a backyard of a home in Sumner, Christchurch, NZ that looks out into the sea (why NZ? cause it's the country i can relate to and imagine, since i've not been to paris or maldives or the USA).

OR have it in the lavender fields...ala Bridestowe Estate in Tasmania, Aust. under it's big century-old oak tree. mmmmm....love lavender..

2. I would have a wedding cake like this one!!!!!!!!!!! yes, it's a real cake! SO COOL!!! Wonder how we'll eat it, but it's so cool!!!! (and of course, replace the names on the pot to "Colin and Guat Eu" - nice? i think so.. :D )

3. Have the reception in the garden with this iris bouquet as the centre piece. I love irises and this goes well with the blue and green theme..

4. Since it's outdoors, this is such an excellent (and oh-so-cost-friendly) idea of documenting our lives..instead of a computer slide show, we get a clothes-line pictorial stroll..

5. Such pretty cupcakes! to be served as desert or snack. It's real pansies on top.

6. For outdoors, this may be a bit too much decor but these hanging vine balls are so pretty!!! These would be lovely hanging over the arch for the exchange of vows ceremony. I'd possibly fit it with lavender flowers instead.

7. The adventure of being outdoors!! These hanging chairs are such a great idea! Easy lounging for the guests and their kids. I'd love to sit in them!

8. Pinwheels! Excellent again for the outdoors to catch the wind. These are actually table seatings. There're names on the pinwheels. And these are such fun for kids (and adults) to play with too..

9. The bridal bouquet.. :) again, lavender in the midst of it all. I love the colour! and the contrast it'd have on the dress.

10. I love my own wedding dress. But since this is a dream / fantasy wedding blog-post, i'd really like this Vera Wang gown. Still empire waist (which i love!) and simple tule skirt..love the green ribbon. A rather bohemian look. If i had hair like the model, i'd do it like that too. Love the whole look!
