grass

we have a tiny piece of lawn in our home.
i enjoy snipping away at it. We've got carpet grass and cow grass and some other kind of grass i don't know how to identify. But majority is carpet grass. It was intentional cause i like carpet grass - it looks like a green carpet :) (duh..)

but i didn't realise carpet grass can grow rather thick. It doesn't grow tall, it grows dense. The more dense it is, the harder it is to cut. Compred to cow grass / the others that grows tall - those are easier to snip off. So the carpet just gets thicker and thicker.

If i'm hardworking, i'll cut the dense carpet grass. Else, it'd be Colin's job :) I'll do the easier bits. Doesn't help that our grass cutting shears are not good enough to cut the thick grass effectively.

When we were growing the grass, i had a made up mind that Colin will cut the grass. Not me. I'll do the inside of the house and he'll manage the outside. But these days, i enjoy sitting there snipping away. Rather therapeutic. Mindless work and a sense of accomplishment at the end. And you'd get some Vitamin D as well as strengthening the muscles of the forearms :)

Also, you'd never be able to finish the job. You can only cover so much at a time. Tomorrow, it grows a little taller. How resilent nature is.

If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!  ~Luke 12:28~
