somewhere out there..
beneath the pale moonlight, someone's thinking of me and loving me tonight

vacay
i hesitate before posting anything. Sometimes i feel like saying a lot of things. Sometimes, i look at the link in my Favourites link list and look beyond the somewhere out there.
then i suppose i should record down significant moments. Though i've already done it in writing for my personal reference, it'd be nice to share it on the WWW too.
yeah, like the Yankees call it, i went for a vacay. One year in planning. One word to describe it is Grace. God's grace to be specific (whose else? :) )
'Cause by His grace...
we could still board the flight one year after purchase
we had free lodging for 3 nights and homecooked food
we didn't get into any accidents on the road and the both cars were quite fuel efficient
we had free rye bread for all our lunches in Tasmania
we didn't kill any wild animals on the road (there were many roadkills)
we met / saw animals in the wild like koala, wallaby, whales (!!!), kookaburra, echidna crossing the road and a wombat wandering out of its burrow though it was a warm afternoon
i trudged through a 2 1/2hour walk / hike around Dove Lake without incident
our luggage arrived safely all the time
all our rented accommodation was clean and safe (some cleaner than others)
we were blessed with good weather and though it rained at some parts, it did not hinder our travels
.
.
and most of all, this stretch of holiday was the longest time we've ever spent together. 24 hours in each other's face. Wasn't a big challenge, so thank God again. We've definitely learnt more about each other and we both really treasure this blessed time away from the norm.
People call it second honeymoon but i'd rather just think of it as time together. Don't really like labels. This trip was definitely different from a honeymoon cause in a honeymoon, everything's still so new and you're yet to be really comfortable with each other. And there is bound to be greater tension i think. Especially if we're trying very hard to please the other and aftraid to be completely honest so that nothing would "ruin" the honeymoon of a lifetime.
anyway, i look forward to many more of these trips together.. :)
